Poster Design

On 28 July 2010, through Resolution 64/292, the United Nations General Assembly explicitly recognized the human right to water and sanitation and acknowledged that clean drinking water and sanitation are essential to the realization of all human rights.

Here are two posters I recently designed for a "Human Rights and Human Wrongs" assignment in Graphic Design II.    The theme I chose was  “The right to clean drinking water”.   For the first poster I filled two water bottles with rainwater from the drainage on my street.   I laid the bottles out and photographed them to symbolize the equality sign.  Simplicity was the goal.

The second poster had to be black and white only.  I shot some macros of my kitchen faucet for the background.   The used of type was the main concentration for this piece.

Just for fun I’ve also included one poster I designed just after the recent flooding in Pensacola this spring.     “Rain-a-geddon”.
