This weekend I worked on many different items related to the typography project. 1) Poster. 2/3) Postcard/Map. 4) Shopping bag 5) Wine 101 handout. 6) Wine Pairings handout. The Painting on the poster took several days and countless hours. I think before I attack such a thing again I get my photoshop painting skills a bit more in tune.
Still a work in progress but it's finally getting there. Going to do a tutorial on how to draw grapes and see if I can add some in how I envisioned this to be in the first place. I'm not a fan of the font for the 2015. I'd like something more script like but I don't have anything on my laptop that works. I'll keep looking.
Above is the front and back of a 11x6 mailing postcard. I had to put a screen behind the title and a drop shadow behind "wine festival" as the words and dates were getting lost in the trees.
Above is a shopping bag design. 8.25"w x 10.5"h x 4.375"d. The 1" black strip with the webpage will fold inward to read right side up in the inside of the bag. I'm still thinking of doing a design for the lanyard/rope. Possibly something black with white writing.
For the WINE TASTING 101 placard I used a close up of the water refection from my original drawing of the Baytowne Wharf.
For the background for the WINE PAIRINGS I chose to use more the of Baytowne Wharf image which had a lighter area to see if the text would be more visible.
